“Freddy has an impeccable sense of swing… he is, overall, the most maturely expressive male jazz singer of his generation, if not the best alive.” The New York Times
Recognized as one of the great practitioners of American song, vocalist and pianist Freddy Cole is widely regarded as one of the most influential singers in jazz. Growing up in a musical household that included his older brother Nat “King” Cole, visits from the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Lionel Hampton were common. Cole has taken all those familiar sounds and come up with his own distinct voice that is smooth and swingin’. His shows are perfect for all types, from those looking for a romantic night out to jazz purists looking to recall the heydays, and everyone in between.
style: straight-ahead/vocal jazz
